There have been many local pollinator workshops over the past few years, this one is specifically about;
Big Picture Pollinator Conservation “Most Effective Actions”
1. Introduction to midwest ecosystems (perfect/prototype pollinator habitats), habitat loss as the biggest factor in pollinator decline, invasive species compounding the issue
2. Indigenous Agriculture/Agroforestry as a model for mitigating the habitat loss and habitat fragmentation caused by agriculture.
3. The power of the people; engaging the population in invasive species removal and supporting indigenous agriculture/agroforestry as the most Effective actions for pollinator conservation and biodiversity.
4. Application of these concepts to your land and your community. Most Effective Actions.
This fundraiser workshop costs $15.00; 100% of funds will be used for purchasing land for a local indigenous farm which will hold indigenous food festivals featuring native plant foods and native herbs.
