Butterflyweed is another short drought tolerant border plant with one of the most vibrant floral displays in the midwest. The bright orange attracts all kinds of pollinators, and is especially popular with....butterflies hence the name. Give Butterflyweed full-sun on the edge of a bed with other A category plants to complement it. Don't put it in saturated soil or near Category C/D/E plants. This plant is a Monarch Butterfly Host Plant.
