Showy Goldenrod (Solidago speciosa)

5.00

Bloom Time: September

Height: 2.5 feet to 4 feet

Showy goldenrod is indeed the showiest of local goldenrods, and is partial shade tolerant as well as full sun and drought tolerant. All goldenrods support pollinators in their August-September blooming months, after most wildflowers have already started producing seeds. Dwarf Goldenrod is a great option too, and is much shorter than Showy. Always combine Showy Goldenrod with New England Aster, unless you are planting in wet soil.
