Sweet Black Eye Susan (Rudbeckia submentosa)

6.50

Bloom Time August

Height 3.5-5 feet tall

Who ever knew a perennial Black eye susan could be so big and bold? Drought tolerance is great. Partial sun tolerant, full-sun is best. Needs to be Mid or Background of taller garden, or Background of shorter garden. Will attract short tongued pollinators in the dry hot month of August when most plants refuse to bloom. Would grow well with Joe Pye Weed, IronWeed, False Aster, Tall Boneset, Indian grass and Heliopsis.
